Being
a Republican has always been very important to me. Because of my
belief for the people and their future in this county, I feel it is
important to listen and respect each other. Now it will be my
responsibility to make it work for all the people of Luzerne County. My
past experiences include being appointed to Forty Fort Council and then
being elected Chairman of Council; served as Treasurer, Vice President
and President of the Holy Name Society at Holy Name Church in
Swoyersville; served on the building committee for the construction of
the new Wyoming Area Catholic School and I owned my own construction
company which provided service throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania and
the East Coast.
In the last election I did not support home rule as a personal choice.
I do not feel that enough county residents researched the ins and outs
of home rule. Now it will be my responsibility to make home rule work
for the residents of Luzerne County.
Luzerne County needs to operate as a fine-tuned business with answers
for you, the public. After all, the county is your business. I will
work with all groups and individuals to address the various types of
drug use and crime taking place in our county. I hope to correct the
financial mismanagement of the county, address nepotism, and correct the
current hiring practices. It is time to stop wasteful spending, which
could easily amount to as much as 8% in savings for the county budget
when all is exposed. I will roll up my sleeves and work hard to get our
county to be one of the top respected counties in Pennsylvania.
